Creative Pollution: iSmOg new!!! I wanted to benefit from the pollution that emerges all around us, I wanted to make something useful or at least decorative with waste for the everyday living purposes. Since we produce so much pollution I thought of using the mechanisms that produce, measure or reduce the pollution for the different purposes. I had several plans how to do it, but all of them simply could not be realized, some because of utopianism and some because lack of money. First attempt was to parasite the Environment Measuring System (E.M.S.) that is a pre-existing system owned by the city of Ljubljana and measures the daily values of environment pollution. I wanted to make symbiotic unit that parasites the E.M.S. in accordance to capture the data from E.M.S. and processes the information’s through own databases. The result of the process would be paintings and music made out of the city’s pollution. The second was a paper collector that I named Ecomat, which is automatic paper recycling machine that produces biomass and practical forms such as paper bricks. It is automatised substitute for handwork recycling and enables individuals to recycle paper by them self. The products would be used for building or decoration purposes and at last, if made out of burnable biomass, for heating of houses. Since both of the ideas were at the time unrealizable, because of substantial technical support that was needed for realization, I decided to start the hand made production like in the third world. At first I started to produce paper bricks at home but soon set up the whole semi automatised bricks production line that was open for public in the project Just do it and also used later in the Loop project.
